MSME Classification Criteria (Latest)
As per revised guidelines MSME is classified as per following factors:
- Micro Enterprise
- Investment: Up to ₹1 crore
- Turnover: Up to ₹5 crore
- Small Enterprise
- Investment: Up to ₹10 crore
- Turnover: Up to ₹50 crore
- Medium Enterprise
- Investment: Up to ₹50 crore

Step-by-Step Process for Udyam MSME Registration Online
Step 1: Visit the Official Udyam Portal
Go to the government Udyam Registration website.
Step 2: Enter Aadhaar Details
Enter Aadhar number and name as per aadhar and generate aadhar otp. Authenticate via OTP linked to Aadhaar.
Step 3: Validate PAN
Select type of organisation, Enter name as per PAN, PAN number and date of birth and click on validate PAN. The PAN will be validated with income tax PAN database.
Step 4: Fill Business Information
- Select whether ITR filed
- Select whether GST available
- Mobile and Email
- Select Gender and Social category
- Business name and address
- Incorporation and commencement date
- NIC code
- No. of persons employed
- Investment and turnover details would be auto fetched from filed ITR if any
Step 5: Submit Application
Submit application using mobile OTP. After submission, you will receive your Udyam Registration Number (URN).
Step 6: Download Certificate
The certificate is issued digitally and can be downloaded anytime by logging in using URN and registered mobile number or Email ID.
What are the charges for Udyam registration?
